[Hiring] Lead Financial Management Subject Matter Expert @Montcure, LLC

Role Description

Montcure, LLC is hiring a Lead Financial Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to direct fiscal operations support for a U.S. Navy / DoW financial management organization. As the Lead SME, you will serve as the senior-most technical authority and principal advisor for the fiscal operations department, setting direction and quality standards across a multi-tiered team of Financial Management Analysts, Navy ERP (SAP ECC) Specialists, and Junior Analysts.

• Serve as the senior Financial Management SME and principal advisor for Navy financial execution, funds control, and reporting activities.
• Lead, supervise, and manage the day-to-day performance of the fiscal operations team.
• Serve as the final escalation point for resolution of complex Unmatched Disbursements (UMDs), Negative Unliquidated Obligations (NULOs), and aged transactions.
• Own accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation outcomes across the department.
• Direct analysis of complex financial transactions and system data to identify errors and inefficiencies.
• Direct budget execution oversight, funds status reporting, commitments, obligations, expenditures, and reconciliation processes.
• Serve as the department's ultimate functional authority for Navy ERP (SAP ECC).
• Own the audit readiness, FIAR, and internal controls program for fiscal operations.
• Design and oversee the training curriculum, job aids, SOPs, and briefings for Navy personnel.
• Collaborate with functional, technical, and operational teams to improve system utilization.
• Advise senior government leadership on financial policy, audit strategy, and financial impacts of business decisions.
• Define and lead enterprise process-improvement and system-optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of DoD or Navy financial management experience, with significant Navy ERP exposure.
• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, or mentoring teams in a Navy/DoD financial environment.
• Experience developing business cases, functional and non-functional requirements, and feasibility studies.
• Expert understanding of the Navy/DoW financial execution lifecycle.
• Experience directing reconciliation of UMDs, NULOs, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records.
• Ability to brief and influence senior leaders, including at the SES level and above.
• Advanced functional knowledge of Navy ERP (SAP ECC) financial modules.

• Proficiency with financial reporting tools and data analysis (e.g., Excel, BI tools).

Benefits

• Full-Time position.
• Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000.
