[Hiring] Lead Billing Analyst @Harness

Role Description

Harness is seeking a Lead Collections Analyst to own accounts receivable and cash collections for our fast-growing SaaS business, as part of the Revenue Accounting team. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who drives cash in, reduces days sales outstanding, and builds the collections infrastructure to scale with the business.

The ideal candidate is an operator who works independently, maintains audit-ready processes, and acts as the go-to expert and escalation point for collections across Finance, Sales, Legal, and DealOps. You will partner closely with the billing team to keep invoicing accurate, but your focus is the full collections lifecycle: from credit review through cash application, dispute resolution, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of collections, accounts receivable, or revenue accounting experience in a high-growth SaaS or software company.
• Proven record of reducing DSO and past-due balances.
• Experience owning collections strategy for enterprise B2B accounts.
• Strong working experience with NetSuite and Salesforce-to-NetSuite data flows.
• Advanced Excel/Sheets skills, including XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and managing large data sets.
• Demonstrated experience identifying process gaps and implementing workflow improvements.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.

Requirements

• End-to-end ownership of the AR aging cycle across the customer base.
• Develop tailored collection strategies for key and high-risk accounts.
• Partner with Finance to forecast cash receipts and flag collection risks.
• Manage the end-to-end cash application process.
• Perform credit reviews for new customers and establish credit limits.
• Resolve payment disputes, credit memos, and refund requests.
• Develop and maintain AR dashboards that track KPIs.
• Work with the billing team to resolve invoice errors and contract mismatches.
• Analyze collections and cash application workflows for bottlenecks.
• Complete all collections and AR tasks on schedule.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support external audit requests.
• Ensure collections practices comply with ASC 606 and SOX controls.
