Role Description
The Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for assisting the implementation, monitoring, and oversight of the Bankβs Fraud program designed to ensure that the Bank achieves optimum preventative losses and fraud investigations. Specifically, the role is responsible for the overall management and strategy of action plans to mitigate fraud losses throughout the bank. Responsibilities include:

Oversee fraud monitoring activities, alert review processes, case investigations, and resolution efforts to identify, investigate, and mitigate fraudulent activity.

Develop, implement, and maintain fraud controls, procedures, and strategies designed to reduce fraud exposure and minimize losses across the Bank.

Analyze fraud data, loss trends, and emerging threats to identify risks, recommend control enhancements, and support informed business decisions.

Manage recovery strategies and coordinate efforts to maximize recovery opportunities and reduce the financial impact of fraud events.

Collaborate with operational, customer-facing, and support teams to identify vulnerabilities, improve processes, and enhance fraud detection and prevention capabilities.

Ensure fraud-related activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements, including referral of suspicious activity when appropriate.

Maintain current knowledge of emerging fraud trends, threats, regulatory developments, and industry best practices, and implement appropriate strategies to mitigate fraud risk and reduce losses.

Serve as a resource to management and business units on fraud risks, emerging schemes, industry trends, and effective fraud mitigation practices.

Promote fraud awareness through employee education, communication, and training programs designed to strengthen the Bank's fraud prevention culture.

Direct, coach, and develop fraud personnel while establishing performance expectations, monitoring results, and ensuring the efficient execution of departmental objectives.

Evaluate fraud processes, systems, and controls to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer protection.

Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
Qualifications

Bachelorβs Degree in Criminal Justice, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management or related field, or a minimum of 10 years previous experience in Fraud investigation and prevention in the banking industry.

Minimum of 5 years of management or leadership experience in a bank fraud prevention, fraud operations, financial crimes, or fraud risk management function.

Professional certification such as Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), or Certified AML and Fraud Professional (CAFP) preferred.

Experience conducting fraud investigations, reviewing suspicious activity, and identifying fraud trends and emerging threats.

Experience utilizing fraud monitoring systems, case management platforms, data analytics tools, and reporting applications.

Knowledge of deposit fraud, payment fraud, check fraud, ACH fraud, wire fraud, debit card fraud, identity theft, account takeover, and related fraud schemes.

Experience collaborating with business lines, operations, compliance, risk management, and law enforcement agencies.
-
Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC requirements, financial crimes investigations, and SAR reporting processes, including experience identifying, investigating, and escalating suspicious activity within a banking environment.
