[Hiring] Financing Advisory and Capital Matchmaking @SNV

Role Description

SNV seeks an experienced individual consultant or boutique advisory firm to provide targeted investment readiness, capital strategies, and investor matchmaking support to a portfolio of approximately 15 small and medium enterprises in Vietnam. The consultant will develop a practical understanding of each company’s business model and financing needs to identify and approach investors or other capital providers that represent a realistic match.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in early-stage investment, capital raising, transaction/investment advisory, and/or investor matchmaking, ideally in climate/green sectors.
• Demonstrated investor network in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with relevant international connections.
• Proposed approach and methodology, including approach to assessing financing needs and matching companies to appropriate capital.
• Relevant track record and examples of previous assignments.

Requirements

• Assess the investment readiness and financing requirements of approximately 15 supported companies.
• Assess whether the proposed fundraising amount and use of funds are appropriate to the company’s business model, stage, and growth plans.
• Advise each company on an appropriate financing strategy, including the type or combination of capital to pursue.
• Identify relevant investors and finance providers in Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and internationally based on company-specific fit.
• Facilitate targeted introductions and matchmaking between priority companies and relevant investors.
• Support companies to prepare for and follow up on investor discussions.
