Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Operations Specialist to support the internal financial processes and operational workflows of our growing accounting firm. This position focuses on keeping financial operations organized, accurate, and efficient across internal systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with financial information, spreadsheets, business systems, payment workflows, documentation, and process coordination.

• Coordinate and monitor routine financial operations and internal workflows.
• Maintain accurate financial and operational records across company systems.
• Review transaction and payment information for completeness and accuracy.
• Track invoices, payments, expenses, and operational financial activity.
• Assist with payment processing and follow up on outstanding transactions.
• Prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and routine operational reports.
• Monitor financial workflow deadlines and ensure required information is available.
• Organize documentation related to financial transactions and business operations.
• Assist with vendor, payment, and account-related administrative processes.
• Identify missing or inconsistent information and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
• Support internal teams with financial data and operational information.
• Help maintain standardized procedures for recurring financial processes.
• Assist with improving internal workflows, documentation, and process efficiency.
• Perform data entry and system updates involving financial and operational information.
• Handle confidential business and financial information appropriately.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in finance, financial operations, business operations, banking, payments, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
• Comfortable learning new software and business systems.
• Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work professionally and independently in a remote environment.
• Must be located within the United States.

Requirements

• Experience with financial software, payment platforms, or business management systems.
• Experience working with Excel or Google Sheets.
