Role Description

We're looking for a Financial Modeling Expert for a financial intelligence company focused on building and improving high-quality financial models. If you are analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working across Excel and complex finance scenarios, keep reading!

• Build financial models from scratch across debt, structured finance, private credit, and private equity use cases
• Review and improve models built by other finance experts, identifying weak assumptions, broken logic, and missing schedules
• Create realistic finance scenarios, assumptions, and supporting source materials
• Build detailed revenue, cost, working capital, capex, debt, covenant, valuation, and scenario schedules
• Work with messy or incomplete source materials and structure them into clear, defensible analysis
• Explain modeling choices clearly and defend the logic behind your work

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of hands-on experience in debt & structured finance OR credit analysis & lending OR private equity, ideally from a top firm
• Proven ability to build financial models from scratch, not just fill in templates
• Advanced Excel modeling skills
• Expert-level understanding of core finance concepts including cash flow, valuation, leverage, liquidity, and capital structure
• Ability to work independently with ambiguous or incomplete information
• Clear written and verbal English

Requirements

• Experience in restructuring, distressed debt, asset-backed securities, or LBO modeling
• Experience creating or reviewing modeling tests, case studies, or training materials
• Familiarity with AI tools, automation, or data workflows
