Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / FP&A Lead to join our growing finance team and play a key role across our US and UK operations. This is a hands-on role that combines:

• FP&A, financial reporting, accounting, and month/quarter-end close responsibilities.
• Work closely with the US and UK Controllers.
• Support a complex, multi-group biotech organization.

The role will report directly to the Finance leadership team and will be responsible for helping ensure the accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery of financial reporting and close processes, while also providing meaningful financial analysis and insight to support business decisions.

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• Biotech or life sciences experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience working across US and UK reporting environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Significant experience in finance, FP&A, financial reporting, or a combination of these areas.
• Strong biotech or life sciences industry experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with UK GAAP.
• Experience with US/SEC reporting and related financial reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities.
• Experience working within a multi-entity or multi-group organization.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.

Requirements

• Experience working across US and UK finance teams.
• Experience in a public company or SEC reporting environment.
• Experience with biotech, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Experience improving finance processes and controls.
