Role Description
Salute is seeking a Finance Manager to lead core financial operations for a growing business, with significant ownership over how the finance function is structured, systematized, and run going forward. This role combines traditional financial management β budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing β with a mandate to build the underlying systems, processes, and controls that will scale with the business, including a company-wide finance transformation to a single financial platform. The Finance Manager will work in close partnership with senior leadership, contributing directly to operational and strategic decision-making, and will have exposure across multiple business lines and functions as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
-
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Reporting
-
Own the budgeting and forecasting process, including preparation of the annual budget and maintenance of rolling forecasts.
-
Manage the invoicing process end to end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual terms.
-
Analyze run rates, project costing, and margin performance to inform operational and leadership decisions.
-
Prepare financial reporting packages and respond to ad hoc analysis requests from leadership and cross-functional teams.
-
Finance Transformation & Systems Design
-
Lead a company-wide finance transformation initiative, consolidating multiple systems into a single, unified financial platform.
-
Design and implement the financial systems, controls, and standard operating procedures that will define how the finance function runs.
-
Build scalable financial structures and reporting frameworks that support the company's growth trajectory.
-
Identify and drive process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.
-
Account & Cross-Functional Support
-
Manage the financial relationship for a designated entity/group of clients, including billing, cost tracking, and reporting.
-
Partner with operations and project teams on client engagements, providing financial oversight to help ensure projects track correctly from a cost standpoint.
-
Support project-based and on-site engagements requiring financial oversight, cost tracking, and reporting.
-
Partner with other business units and support cross-selling initiatives across service lines.
-
Strategic Partnership & Leadership Support
-
Serve as a key financial partner to senior leadership, providing insight that directly informs business decisions.
-
Participate in leadership and planning discussions, contributing financial analysis and recommendations.
-
Support finance initiatives as the company's operations and footprint expand.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
-
5+ years of progressive experience in a finance management role, ideally within real estate services, construction, facilities management, or a related project-based business.
-
Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing at a company or business-unit level.
-
Demonstrated experience designing or improving financial systems, processes, and controls, rather than only operating within existing ones.
-
Comfort operating in a growth-stage, evolving environment with limited existing infrastructure β building the playbook, not just following it.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred
-
Experience leading or supporting financial system implementations or migrations.
-
CPA, CMA, or related certification.
-
Familiarity with construction, commissioning, or facilities management operations.
-
Experience supporting global or multi-entity finance operations.
Benefits
-
8 company-paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, and PTO.
-
Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, and Vision that you can enroll in starting on Day 1. Coverage begins the first of the month following 30-days of employment.
-
Employee Assistance Program available to all employees.
-
Employer-supported 401(K) with immediate 100% vesting, plus a 3% employer match and a 50% match on the next 2%.
-
Access to HSA, mental health resources, and gym discounts.
