Role Description
The Director, FP&A leads financial planning and analysis for Alaska Distribution and Government Energy in Crowleyβs Energy Division, translating financial and operational performance into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions, resource allocation, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning. Partners with senior leadership to evaluate business performance, identify risks and opportunities, strengthen forecast accuracy, and drive disciplined financial management across revenue, margin, cost, working capital, and investment priorities.
Responsibilities

Lead the annual operating plan, budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes for Alaska Distribution and Government Energy, ensuring assumptions, timelines, deliverables, and financial outputs are aligned with enterprise standards and business priorities.

Develop and oversee financial models, scenario analyses, business cases, and investment evaluations that support revenue growth, margin expansion, cost discipline, capital allocation, and strategic decision-making.

Partner with business, operational, commercial, and functional leaders to evaluate financial and operational performance, identify risks and opportunities, and translate data into clear recommendations and action plans.

Provide executive-ready reporting, variance analysis, performance insights, and financial storytelling that enable senior leaders to understand business drivers, assess trade-offs, and make timely decisions.

Monitor revenue, margin, cost, productivity, working capital, and capital trends; identify performance gaps; and recommend corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy, financial outcomes, and operating discipline.

Ensure financial plans, forecasts, reporting packages, and analytical deliverables are accurate, timely, consistent, and aligned with accounting principles, internal controls, company policies, and enterprise planning requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, dashboards, data governance, planning routines, and reporting cadence to increase efficiency, consistency, transparency, and decision usefulness.

Lead, coach, and develop FP&A team members and matrixed finance partners, strengthening analytical capability, business acumen, accountability, and service to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications

10 or more years of progressive finance experience, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, management reporting, and business partnership with senior leaders.

Experience leading teams, supporting complex business units, translating financial data into executive-level insights, and improving FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.

Experience with accounting principles, internal controls, and financial systems preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of post high school education and relevant experience may be substituted for education.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, ERP, data visualization, and business intelligence tools.

Demonstrated capability in financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, KPI development, dashboard design, and executive-level financial storytelling.

Experience improving FP&A tools, reporting processes, and data governance preferred.

MBA, CPA, CFA, or similar advanced finance credentials preferred.
