[Hiring] Director Billing and Collections @Providence

Role Description

The leader in this role will be responsible for billing and follow-up activities for all Providence retained billing offices. Key responsibilities include:

• Operational oversight and management of insurance and self-pay accounts receivable.
• Billing compliance and activities across the Providence geographic footprint.
• Collaboration with clinics and departments to improve billing revenue cycle workflows.
• Partnership with clinics, operational leaders, finance, contracting, compliance, coding, and vendor partners to enhance revenue cycle workflows and optimize financial performance.
• Accountability for achieving Professional Billing A/R goals and driving operational excellence.
• Leading strategies that improve collections, reduce receivables, and enhance the patient and provider experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Public Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in accounts receivable management.
• 8 years of leadership experience.
• 5 years of experience in medical revenue cycle management.
• 3 years of significant executive-level relationship management experience.
• Demonstrated experience standardizing complex and disparate processes and maintaining common processes to standards across multiple facilities and settings.
• Healthcare business operations and/or financial management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of billing follow-up, denial management, reporting and reimbursement recovery, including patient accounting, third-party payer billing, and EDI billing experience.
