[Hiring] Deputy Head of Finance / Transformation Leader @Hiflylabs

Role Description

We are looking for a Finance Transformation Leader / Deputy Director to join Hiflylabs and become the CFO’s key partner in leading and transforming the Finance function. This is not a traditional Finance Manager role. We are looking for a senior, hands-on finance leader who can operate independently, challenge existing ways of working, lead complex initiatives, and turn decisions into execution.

The person joining us will have to understand a complex SME environment quickly, navigate a significant amount of legacy, and work effectively with stakeholders who have been operating within the existing model for many years.

What you will do

• Contribute to leading and developing the Finance team, setting operational priorities, delegating tasks and supporting colleagues through change.
• Independently drive Finance transformation initiatives, from redesigning existing processes, systems and responsibilities through to implementation.
• Improve management reporting, controlling and business KPIs, increasing visibility into financial performance and ensuring alignment with accounting data.
• Take part in the coordination of the internal Budgeting and Forecasting process, drive improving related processes, and internal negotiations with managers.
• Develop consolidation and group reporting, and support IFRS-based reporting and accounting processes.
• Help establish reporting methodology and environment tailored to PS company needs.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external Finance partners, representing Finance independently when required.
• Take responsibility for delivering Finance projects, with clear ownership, deadlines and transparent communication of progress, risks and decisions.

Qualifications

• When you are given a complex problem, you can: understand → structure → challenge → propose → align → execute → follow through.
• 8+ years of Finance or Controlling experience, including both large corporate and SME or scale-up environments.
• Strong accounting, controlling and reporting expertise, with a thorough understanding of financial performance and its drivers.
• Practical IFRS experience, alongside knowledge of consolidation and group reporting.
• Experience leading Finance transformation or complex improvement initiatives.
• People leadership and mentoring skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong English communication.
• A hands-on, proactive and structured approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and resistance to change.

Requirements

• Big 4, M&A, financial due diligence experience.
• Experience implementing ERP systems or developing KPI frameworks.
• A background in IT services, consulting or international groups.
• A Hungarian accounting qualification or Chartered Accountant designation.
