[Hiring] Credit and Receivables Specialist @eShipping, LLC

Role Description

The Credit and Receivables Specialist is responsible for reducing eShipping’s financial risk through managing standard credit and collection policies, vetting new customers to ensure they meet credit standards, sending and receiving credit agreements, and assisting the Receivables team to ensure customer payments are received in a timely and consistent manner. This role will work closely with Account Management, Sales, the Financial Operations Team, and eShipping clients.

This position is also responsible for managing customer receivables through standardized collections processes and ensuring customer payments are received in a timely and consistent manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Confirm prospects and clients meet eShipping’s credit standards
• Help ensure clients do not surpass credit limits
• Escalate potential AR risks by reporting to management
• Track communication in TMS
• Send and receive credit agreements
• Record credit details in TMS, HubSpot and SharePoint
• Monitor the credit inbox and respond to requests
• Negotiate credit terms with prospects and clients
• Provide customer service regarding collections issues
• Provide supporting documentation to the customer when needed for invoice reconciliation
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with assigned accounts
• Maintain Past Due AR percentages to company standards
• Monitor customer base for potential credit risks
• Adhere to the collection team standard operations procedures
• Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently while balancing appropriate collaboration with leadership oversight
• Efficient and courteous customer service and client management
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• “Sense of urgency” and strong initiative
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic technical skills
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Physical Demands: Regularly required to remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the time; occasionally move about inside the office; operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
• Cognitive/Mental Requirements: Regularly required to comprehend and use basic language; use logic to define problems; perform numerical operations.
• Work Environment: Work hours could be performed at the employee’s home office setting; minimal noise level in the work environment.
