[Hiring] Correspondent Banking Lending Officer @First National Bankers Bank

Role Description

The Correspondent Lending Officer is responsible for soliciting, negotiating, making, and servicing commercial loans and loan participations purchased and sold in accordance with the Bank’s lending policies, procedures and goals. Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging in business development activities and soliciting new loan business from correspondent banks.
• Visiting prospective selling banks of loan participations and requesting specific information related to loan participation opportunities or credit requests.
• Performing pre-qualification assessment and analysis of financial condition and risk of loan requests.
• Working closely with the Chief Credit Officer for guidance related to lending practices.
• Gathering and analyzing information necessary to present loan requests to senior management or loan committee for approval.
• Reviewing loan packages to ensure correct information is obtained prior to processing.
• Participating in weekly Executive Loan Committee meetings.
• Ensuring credit inquiries and UCC filings are researched for credit worthiness.
• Negotiating and processing renewals of credit facilities.
• Approving loan payments, draws from lines of credit, and fund transfers within specified limits.
• Updating and corresponding with legal counsel, originating banks, participants, and borrowers on workouts, bankruptcies, and charge-offs.
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of the financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors, and competition.
• Reinforcing superior customer service through personal example and follow-through.
• Representing the Bank at professional and customer relations functions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Located in the Southeast region of the U.S.
• Ability to travel frequently to customer/prospect banks.
• Prior correspondent or commercial lending experience.
