Role Description

The Corporate Development and FP&A Consultant will work across a range of corporate development and financial modelling projects, including:

• Supporting the senior executive on corporate development and strategic initiatives.
• Assisting with group-wide business forecasting and planning.
• Project managing significant corporate development projects, including M&A and capital management initiatives.
• Improving existing forecasting models.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate development and strategic initiatives:
  • Lead the process for corporate development projects, ensuring seamless execution and integration planning.
  • Assist in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and post-transaction integration.
  • Assist with capital management priorities such as capital structuring.
  • Project manage processes, engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice and support on progressing corporate development projects.
• Financial reporting and analysis:
  • Enhance existing forecasting models for consistency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, providing commentary on variances and identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• 5-10+ years experience in:
  • Deal-oriented teams (TS/TAS, M&A) or investment banking/corporate advisory within a professional services setting.
  • Corporate development or FP&A within a data-rich corporate setting.
• Experience in project managing corporate-level projects (such as M&A and ECM transactions).
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
