Role Description

As the COLI BOLI Insurance Consultant for Lincoln’s Executive Benefit’s Underwriting Team, you will analyze and deliver on COLI BOLI ICOLI cases. The Corporate-Owned Life Insurance (COLI) Underwriter is responsible for evaluating mortality, financial, and insurable risk associated with corporate-sponsored life insurance programs. The role supports the issuance and management of COLI and BOLI cases by:

• Assessing underwriting evidence
• Applying carrier guidelines
• Making risk-based decisions that support profitable growth while maintaining regulatory compliance
• Collaborating with sales, actuarial, legal, case management, and corporate clients

This is a developmental opportunity designed for someone who brings relevant experience and knowledge of the COLI, BOLI, or broader institutional life insurance marketplace and is interested in building deeper underwriting expertise. A traditional underwriting background is not required. Candidates may bring transferable experience from areas such as:

• Operations
• Product management
• Client service
• Implementation
• Relationship management
• Other roles that provide meaningful exposure to COLI and BOLI programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence management/critical stakeholders
• Analytical skills and close attention to detail
• Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment

Requirements

• Experience working with corporate owned life insurance (COLI) and/or bank owned life insurance (BOLI) programs
• Strong understanding of the institutional life insurance marketplace
• Experience in underwriting, operations, product management, client service, implementation, relationship management, or a related area

The pay range for this position is $84,375 - $135,000 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency, and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit, and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives, and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
