[Hiring] Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator @Time Personnel

Role Description

Do you enjoy supporting Accountants with payroll administration and bookkeeping for SME clients? Our client is a well-established accounting firm with a growing Cape Town team. They are looking for an experienced individual to provide support across bookkeeping and payroll, including:

• Maintaining the general ledger
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Preparing monthly trial balances
• Performing bank reconciliations

Qualifications

• Matric and preferably a Diploma in Bookkeeping
• Proficiency in cloud accounting software like Xero or Sage
• Intermediate Excel skills (these will be tested)
• Strong working knowledge of local tax and labour legislation
• High attention to detail for error-free reconciliations

Requirements

• Fast and reliable internet and power backup in case of power outages
• Strong time management and organizational skills to track concurrent SARS filing deadlines

Duties & Responsibilities

• Process monthly trial balances and reconcile bank statements
• Manage client tax registrations, amendments and compliance tracking
• Maintain daily general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare and submit statutory returns via platforms like SARS e-Filing
• Payroll administration for various clients
• Coordinate documentation for annual financial statements and audits
