[Hiring] Billing Manager @Valleywise Health System

Role Description

Join us today as Valleywise Health's experienced Billing Manager and lead the strategic financial health of our Patient Financial Services department. Reporting directly to the Director of Patient Financial Services, you will champion the optimization of our patient accounts life cycle across all Valleywise Health facilities.

In this vital leadership role, you will drive excellence across:

• Pre-billing
• Billing
• Third-party and government follow-up
• Patient customer service

With your insight into Federal Compliance standards for Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing and navigating intricate behavioral health billing regulations, you will protect our revenue and support our mission. If you are a data-driven leader experienced with analytics, Epic, denials management, and hospital billing, Valleywise Health invites you to lead our team.

Qualifications

• Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience.
• Experience:
  • Must have at least five (5) years of progressively responsible healthcare billing experience.
  • Requires prior supervisory/management experience, preferably within Patient Financial Services.
• Certification/Licensure: Epic and HFMA certification is preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must demonstrate success in leading others and projects.
  • Requires knowledge of all aspects of hospital billing and professional claims.
  • Epic experience and advanced knowledge of MS Office, including data analytics within Access and Excel, is preferred.
  • Requires excellent communication, organizational, time management, and general math skills.
  • Requires excellent patient service skills and interpersonal ability.
  • Requires analytical ability for high-level problem-solving.
  • Requires up-to-date knowledge of Federal compliance and OIG initiatives.
  • Requires understanding of current and future trends in the area of responsibility.
  • Requires knowledge of information systems and software used in the area of responsibility.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.

Annual Salary Range: $79,913 - $117,872
