The Granicus Accounting team is a dynamic and high performing group that partners with both internal and external customers to drive success for the Company. We are looking for a motivated and effective leader to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate would be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating. This position is based in Puerto Rico.

What Your Impact Will Look Like

• Maintain accurate records of billing activities, collections efforts, customer communications, and payment status.
• Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue balances and delinquent accounts.
• Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and past-due payments to facilitate timely collection.
• Escalate delinquent accounts to management or appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
• Update account records with payment activity, collection notes, disputes, and follow-up actions.
• Assist with the preparation, generation, and distribution of customer invoices.
• Assist in researching and resolving billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer disputes.
• Maintain customer account information, payment terms, and billing records in company systems.
• Provide documentation and support for annual external audits and other compliance requests.
• Prepare and distribute Accounts Receivable aging reports and collection status updates as requested.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and other internal teams to resolve collection issues.
• Participate in cross-functional projects impacting billing, collections, credit, and cash application processes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in accounting-related roles, including Billing and Accounts Receivable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Fluent in both written and spoken Spanish and English with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving abilities.
• Effective organizational and project management skills, including the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and challenge existing workflows when appropriate.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, investigate, and resolve billing and collection issues.
