Role Description
UTA seeks an experienced associate to join its Finance Client Accounting team. The Associate, Client Accounting, will be assigned to a UTA department and will serve as a point person for all accounting issues related to that department. This role will be responsible for working closely with agents and assistants to capture timely and accurate booking information in a GAAP-compliant accounting environment. This position is remote.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will entail:

Reviewing new client bookings.

Modifying existing bookings as necessary to reflect updated performance dates.

Meeting with Agents/Assistants on a routine basis.

Providing reporting to Agents to facilitate forecasting and collections.

Establishing and monitoring quality metrics.

Continuously seeking improvement in the process of tracking client bookings.
The salary range for this role is $72,500 to $75,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of any accounting experience.

Entertainment experience preferred.

Prior experience in a customer service focused role.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Self-motivated and tenacious; to be successful, the role requires proactive persistence and follow-up.

Proficient in Excel and Outlook.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

General understanding of fundamental accounting principles.

Solid relationship-building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels (including management).

High-energy level and a strong work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to work independently but also collaboratively.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, balance competing priorities, and adapt to shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and adhering to established processes and procedures.

Experience with financial & enterprise systems such as NetSuite preferred.
Requirements

Meet with assigned agents regularly (2+ times per month) and their assistants weekly to ensure booking data and reports are complete and accurate.

Enter and maintain client bookings, reviewing data for accuracy and completeness while considering revenue recognition standards.

Prepare and follow up on outstanding invoices, working directly with buyers to confirm payment status and resolve delays.

Follow up with clients on commissions owed to the company and coordinate the collection and processing of those payments.

Ensure client payments are collected and processed promptly and accurately, in compliance with applicable legal and tax requirements.

Serve as a liaison between clients, agents, and managers, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of accounting and payment matters.

Handle client accounting inquiries directly, including questions about invoices, statements, debits, commissions, payment status, etc.

Coordinate with counterparts at other companies as necessary to complete booking details and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.

Provide regular reporting to managers to support forecasting, collections, and insights into client performance.

Coordinate with the Cash Management team to ensure payments are applied to the correct bookings and accounts.

Provide exceptional customer service to clients, agents, managers, and other stakeholders.

Apply knowledge of accrual accounting, contract administration, and systems to identify opportunities to improve client booking, billing, and payment processes.

Build long-term relationships based on trust, responsiveness, and confidentiality.

Assist with ad hoc requests and other accounting-related projects as needed.
