Role Description
Help scale a high-accountability controllership function that protects recurring close and reporting while enabling Zipโs evolving funding model. Bring deep technical accounting and controllership experience across funding structures, SPVs, securitization, internal controls and complex financial reporting.
Remote-first opportunity for US-based employees with the option to work in-person out of our Manhattan office. Start your adventure with Zip.
As Assistant Controller, you will be a senior individual contributor within US Accounting & Control, with primary ownership of funding and special-purpose-vehicle (SPV) accounting and Assistant Controller-level responsibilities across the broader controllership agenda. You will lead the accounting operationalization of securitizations and other funding structures from Day 1 transaction execution through recurring close, reporting, reconciliations and control ownership, while helping protect the accuracy and timeliness of Zipโs recurring financial reporting.
You will work closely with Treasury, Legal, Finance Systems, Credit Risk, Audit and other US and Global Finance partners. The role also provides accounting oversight and review of treasury, payroll and compensation-related accounting activities and acts as a key accounting lead for business change, control maturity and process improvement as Zipโs US funding and finance operations continue to scale.
