Role Description
Being one of the fastest-growing CPA firms in international business, we are excited to continue the expansion of our team. We are seeking an Accounting Associate to join our business operations team. You’ll be responsible for:

Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports.

Preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.

Monitoring daily transactions and recommending ways to improve our client company’s financial health.
The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, auditing, and budgeting procedures. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in our financial operations, ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting.
Important note:
While not a requirement, openness to relocating to our Marietta office is considered a big plus and will be an advantage in our selection process.
Responsibilities

Support client onboarding process for all assigned client engagements in accordance with the defined process.

Engage in client acquisition and retention initiatives, always providing the highest level of customer service.

Organize and update financial records as needed (digital and physical).

Execute processes related to accounts payable and accounts receivable management, bookkeeping entries, closing the books monthly, and preparing financial reporting and analysis.

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices.

Collaborate with your manager and other Associates on your team to ensure all clients are delighted with our services.

Prepare and file Corporate and Individual Income Tax Returns.

Prepare and maintain client inventory records, monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, internal management reports, and ad hoc reports as needed.

Prepare year-end audit schedules and support the process as necessary.

Assist in documenting, designing, and testing processes and procedures affecting the financial statements or financial performance of the company.

Assist in systems and spreadsheet automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting functions and processes.

Perform other related duties as needed within the scope of the position.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area; Master’s degree is a plus.

CPA qualification or on a CPA Track will be prioritized.

Other related certifications will be considered (EA, Turkish CPA, ACCA, etc.).

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping and accounting.

Experience in a CPA firm is a big plus.
-
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Experience in individual and business taxes is a must.

International tax experience is a big plus.
-
Proficient in accounting software (2 years minimum experience).

Fluency in Turkish and English.

Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced work environment.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations.

Management skills or willingness to train to be a manager.
-
Able to manage financial accounting and reporting projects for for-profit and not-for-profit companies.
-
Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Thrives in a collaborative, team-player office environment.

Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts of the Authority.
