[Hiring] Accountant @Bluesight

Role Description

We are looking for an Accountant to be the primary owner for tax and reporting compliance. The Accountant will report to our Controller.

• Assist with all tax reporting and compliance - state, local, and federal - using Avalara and payroll processor.
• Handle all employee onboarding/offboarding and payroll reporting into NetSuite GL.
• Validate payroll and related tax compliance for reconciliation into NetSuite.
• Manage annual reporting for Contractors - 1099s.
• Assist with financial, tax, workers’ compensation and 401k audits.
• Assist with preparation and/or review of daily entries and month-end reconciliations.
• Document accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist the Corporate Controller and Accounting Team with other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related area.
• At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS company.
• Experience using NetSuite and Avalara in a professional setting, preferably within a SaaS company.
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance requirements.
• Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization.
