Role Description

We are hiring an entry-level Accountant for the Incentives, Benefits & Reconciliation Accounting department at BCBST! In this role, you will support:

• Incentive calculations
• Account reconciliations
• Journal entries
• Variance research

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with intermediate Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets to identify variances, trends, and opportunities for accuracy.

Accounting or financial experience is a plus, along with exposure to AI-enabled tools.

Note: This role is fully remote, but occasional travel to Chattanooga for attendance at events will be requested. Preference will be given to candidates within a 50-mile radius of Chattanooga. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience (4 years in related field)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
• Capacity to solve problems and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines
• Strong analytical skills
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of financial and accounting theory
