[Hiring] Senior Tax Associate @Togetherwork
Mar 08, 2025 - Togetherwork is hiring a remote Senior Tax Associate. 💸 Salary: $65,000- $70,000 usd per year. 📍Location: USA.
Role Description
The Tax Associate will work with the tax and cross-functional teams to support various tax functions. This includes:
- Preparing accurate tax filings
- Performing reconciliations
- Supporting the month-end close process
- Gaining exposure to compliance, audits, research, and process improvement initiatives
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and verifying sales tax exemption certificates
- Working with the tax team to respond to and resolve tax notices
- Preparing work papers and schedules for sales tax, property tax, and gross receipts tax
- Preparing tax registrations, POAs, and other forms required by taxing jurisdictions
- Performing routine tax accounting tasks such as reconciliations
- Identifying and contributing to process improvements to enhance tax compliance and reporting efficiency
- Documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures for tax-related activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 2 years of sales tax compliance experience
- Exposure to multiple business tax types preferred
- Strong understanding of sales tax regulations and experience with tax software (e.g., Avalara)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite tools
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tax-related tasks
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Salary Range Disclosure
The base range represents the low and high end of the Togetherwork salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Togetherwork's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include discretionary bonuses, long term incentives, a flexible paid vacation/personal time policy, 6 weeks paid parental leave and more.
