Role Description

The Portfolio Operations Manager will help to manage the day-to-day business operations as it relates to loan boarding, servicing, and maintenance. This highly organized individual will act as a player/coach and work closely with colleagues across Accounting, Legal & Treasury functions.

  • Help to build and manage the Central Operations Center.
  • Own and eventually oversee loan processes; from onboarding into our systems, exposure tracking, cashflow tracking and all payoffs, receipts, and loan payments.
  • Work with the team that will book loans from approval documents, create wire templates for closings, collect and apply incoming P+I payments on sole and multi-lender financings.
  • Manage the administration of equity and warrant portfolio.
  • Track and forecast loan portfolio cash flow, manage collateral of loans, and manage the funded loans as collateral for the Company’s corporate loans and borrowing bases.
  • Collaborate with legal team members to track custody of funded loans and transfer among internally managed funds.
  • Implement process improvements and recommend efficiencies.
  • Administer, manage exceptions, and collaborate on the continual update of policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot problems with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, accounting, or finance concentration preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience with loan & treasury operations; at least 2 years as a manager.
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements and loan documents.
  • Must be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead projects and take ownership of processes.
  • Familiarity with warrants and equity administration preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem solver.
