Role Description

This role involves financial management and analysis within a project-based environment, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.

Participate in the annual budgeting process and align financial goals with business strategy
Lead monthly financial reviews with cost center leaders and project teams
Gather monthly labor allocation across strategic projects
Partner with various departments to ensure alignment of financial data and forecasts
Build partnerships with key stakeholders to provide financial analysis and support
Work with project teams to build comprehensive technology project estimates
Streamline financial processes to enhance decision-making
Document and maintain financial-related Standard Operating Procedures
Collaborate with departments to understand their priorities for accurate expense forecasts
Analyze complex financial information and provide recommendations for decision-making
Handle ad hoc projects as requested

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts)
Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint and SharePoint
Experience using ERP Financial Systems, especially Workday Adaptive Planning
Familiarity with Power BI or other data analytics software is helpful
Willing and able to travel up to 25%

Requirements

5+ years of accounting or financial experience, particularly in technology project-based financials
Proficient in active listening and articulating ideas clearly
Ability to partner with senior leadership to develop operational expense strategies
Experience providing data-driven insights and recommendations to executives
Collaborate with senior leaders to forecast and monitor OpEx trends
Advise on cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong financial and business acumen
Ability to maintain organized systems and processes
Innovative thinker for continuous process improvement
