Role Description

The Fractional Controller leads client financial management, acting as the primary point of contact across various clientele and ensures accurate, timely completion of all bookkeeping and financial reporting.

  • Supervise bookkeepers and manage month-end closes
  • Implement internal controls and present financial reports to clients
  • Adhere to GAAP and SSARS 21
  • Educate, mentor, and train team members at various levels
  • Deliver comprehensive accounting and advisory services to a diverse clientele
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including transaction entry and reconciliation
  • Perform intricate adjustments and reconciliations
  • Generate financial reports using accounting software
  • Prepare payroll and payroll tax returns, sales tax returns
  • Organize and manage personal and team projects
  • Analyze and interpret financial reports from clients
  • Continuously expand knowledge of tax laws and accounting practices

Qualifications

  • 8+ years professional accounting experience, preferably across multiple clients and industries
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • CPA preferred

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and SSARS 21
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train team members
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and develop solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks and strong Excel skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
  • Must be able to work independently in a remote capacity
  • Commitment to staying current with accounting standards and best practices
