Role Description
As Controller at Pareto, you’ll be the financial backbone of our fast-growing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll own the integrity of our financials, lead the month-end close process, and develop robust systems to ensure scalability and compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally to support strategic decision-making and be a critical player in helping us reach the next phase of growth.
- Lead and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
- Own and optimize the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Prepare internal and external financial statements following GAAP
- Develop internal controls and improve accounting policies and procedures
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management in collaboration with the FP&A team
- Manage annual audits and relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
- Help implement and maintain financial systems and software
- Partner with leadership across the company to provide financial insights that inform strategy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience in high-growth startups or tech companies preferred
- Proven ability to manage audits and implement accounting systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High integrity, judgment, and professionalism
