Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support enterprise-level aviation, transportation, and technical modernization efforts. The role will focus on providing systems engineering expertise across the full system lifecycle, including:

• Concept development
• Requirements analysis
• System design
• Integration
• Testing
• Deployment
• Sustainment

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in engineering disciplines and demonstrate the ability to analyze complex technical environments, recommend improvements, and support the transition of legacy systems to modernized architectures. This role is remote, with occasional travel to customer or partner sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, or related field.
• 15+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in system lifecycle engineering, including requirements, design, integration, and test.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale technical programs with multiple stakeholders.
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident for 3 years.
• Ability to obtain FAA security suitability.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with FAA systems, National Airspace System (NAS) environments, or other large-scale government/transportation systems.
• Experience with modernization of legacy systems into service-based or cloud-based architectures.
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE), enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF), or digital engineering tools.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, data management, or safety risk management in complex systems.
• Professional certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, PMP) a plus.
