[Hiring] Senior Manager – Hydrology & Stormwater @ANS

Role Description

As Senior Manager - Hydrology, you will be the strategic and technical leader driving the success of our Hydrology and Hydraulics engineering team. This role combines hands-on expertise with visionary leadership to deliver innovative solutions for renewable energy projects. You’ll shape long-term plans, mentor top talent, and ensure excellence across design, operations, and client engagement; positioning ANS as a trusted partner in sustainable infrastructure.

• Lead hydraulic engineering on multi-discipline projects requiring stormwater design.
• Interact directly with clients and internal staff.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and structural engineering teams.
• Lead technical resources for the civil engineering H&H organization.
• Mentor project engineers and provide technical leadership for staff utilizing HEC-RAS 2D hydraulic modeling.
• Oversee stormwater management design and related design aspects.
• Conduct QA/QC of stormwater models, calculations, and methodologies.
• Review and supervise calculations performed by others to ensure quality standards are met for construction drawings and reports.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer required.
• Proficiency in design software such as HEC-RAS, RAS Mapper, HydroCAD.
• QGIS and Civil3D knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, or battery storage is highly preferred.
• 12+ years of experience.

Requirements

• $150,000 - $175,000 a year.
