[Hiring] Senior Civil Site Designer @Sargent & Lundy

Role Description

This role offers a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from home five days a week. This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your site design career using your well-developed skills, while working in a multi-disciplined team environment with other designers and engineers in the design, modification, and analysis of substation sites, transmission lines and similar power delivery systems.

As a Senior Site Designer, you will:

• Work on a wide range of substation and transmission line projects and perform civil site drafting, modeling, and development work including creating 3D models, design drawings, plan and profiles, and construction ready packages.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure a complete and timely design.
• Perform oversight and provide peer reviews for other civil designers for project work.
• Travel to client's sites.

Qualifications

• We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
• Associates of Science Degree in Civil or other related discipline; or drafting related credentials.
• Ten (10) or more years of working in a project team environment in the civil design of industrial projects, commercial development, power delivery experience, with specific experience in site grading and drainage design drawings, erosion and sediment control plans and details, SWPPP preparation, SPCC plans, construction pads drawings, and access road plan and profile design.
• Experience in preparing, reviewing, submitting, and site related design packages for client and environmental permits from a wide variety of regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency with one or more of the following civil engineering design tools: AutoDesk Civil 3D and AutoTurn.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work in a team environment.

• Experience with AI, automation, programming, or similar technologies is valued where relevant but is not required unless specifically identified elsewhere in the job description.
