[Hiring] Oil Chemical Tanker - 2nd Engineer @Columbia Shipmanagement

Role Description

• Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of the engine room and other machinery equipment.
• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing daily engine room operations.
• Supervise maintenance and repair of main engine, auxiliaries, and machinery.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Monitor fuel, lube oil, and machinery performance.
• Lead engine room watchkeeping and manage engine crew.
• Ensure safety, pollution prevention, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Holder of a valid COC (STCW Reg III/2) with verification.
• Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position.
• Experience in repairs and dry docking is required.
• Experience with a multicultural working environment.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Effective English communication.
• Safety culture and mindset.

Requirements

• Minimum experience requirements: 8 months in rank on the same type/size of vessel.
• Experience on Electronic engines is mandatory.
• Experience in FRAMO and/or Steam Turbines cargo pump system is mandatory.
• Experience in trading area USA and Australia is recommended.
