Role Description

Do you want to build an impactful career to change the world for the better? Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Career Water Resources Engineer. You will have the opportunity to work fully remote from your home-office in Altoona, PA and join our growing practice supporting our Blue Bell, PA operations. The position will directly support and lead the expansion of our hydraulic engineering capabilities in the dams and levees market, leveraging existing staff resources, and collaborating with other senior dam and levee practitioners across the firm. Projects span:

• Hydraulic modeling of various complexities
• Hydraulic structure evaluation and design (e.g. spillways)
• Supporting probabilistic risk analysis
• Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling for large riverine systems
• Flood modeling
• Dam breach consequence assessment studies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science field, preferably biological sciences, engineering or related field (required)
• Advanced degree (e.g., M.S. or Ph.D.) in epidemiology or related field (preferred)

Requirements

• At least 5 years (7+ preferred) of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
• Exceptional written and oral communication (required)
• Strong statistical skills and the ability to critically evaluate epidemiology data (required)
• Knowledge of food, consumer or medical product, pharmaceutical, pesticide, chemical, occupational, or environmental regulations, air modeling, and other exposure assessment techniques (preferred)
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
