Role Description

Ragnar Benson Construction, a MasTec Company is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to support passenger and heavy rail construction, data centers, and commercial building projects across the United States. The Field Engineer provides hands-on involvement in project planning, coordination, scheduling, quality control, and field operations while working alongside experienced construction professionals. Travel & Project Assignment:

• You can live in any city or state in the continental United States.
• You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the United States.
• Must be capable of working on-site for 2 weeks with a four-day home rotation.
• Designated per diem of $1,020 per week in addition to base pay to support and help cover living expenses during the travel rotation.
• Must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
• A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for the assigned work location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Civil Engineers, Construction Management, or related field preferred). A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. both now and in the future without company sponsorship.

• Strong analytical skills.
• Detail oriented, and good organization skills.
• Ability to communicate well with others, both written and orally.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Procore, and Viewpoint.
• Proficient in Windows based applications.

Requirements

• Preparing scheduling of subcontractors on site.
• Receiving and checking quality of materials.
• Completing QA/QC checklists.
• Submittals (material approvals).
• RFI’s (general questions).
• Preparing official documents for the project, routing and finalizing.
• Preparing project reports as needed.
• Back up documentation.
• Close-outs final quantities.
• Proposing/negotiation extra work.
• Special projects within the Project Management function as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department.
