Role Description

Excellent position for a MEP/HVAC Project Manager with 4+ years of experience. EIT or PE is a plus but not at all required. MUST have a solid background designing and managing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineering and design. All or most work is performed REMOTELY!

• Plans, coordinates, and oversees MEP related activities throughout all phases of pre-construction.
• Manages a team of 15+ engineers to ensure their design and quality is code compliant, follows the client requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Communicates with clients on a regular basis for project updates and requests.
• Applies applicable codes and standards to all MEP systems for all projects.
• Conducts inspections and site surveys for existing conditions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Commissioning experience desired.
• Strong understanding of the NEC, local, state, and international building codes.
• AutoCAD capabilities are a MUST. (to check drawings, drafting is performed outside the US)
• Experience with HVAC systems in large multi-family and commercial buildings.
• Must be able to perform local field visits in the NYC area (30% of the time).
• Certified Energy Manager certification would be a PLUS.
• Prefer candidates with SCA experience or similar government agency.
• Prefer candidates with LEED AP Client+C.
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, etc.

Requirements

• Engineering degree required. (BSME preferred.)
