[Hiring] Engineering Manager @Techy Recruiter

Role Description

You will be the primary steward of Ajaib’s technical resilience. Your role is to bridge the gap between visionary business objectives and world-class system design, ensuring that our infrastructure scales ahead of our user base.

• Architectural Stewardship: Drive the long-term technical direction for our high-traffic microservices. Ensure our backend systems set the industry benchmark for observability, performance, and financial-grade security.
• Strategic Orchestration: Serve as the vital link between C-suite objectives and engineering execution. Manage complex stakeholder expectations, resource allocation, and the technical roadmap for our Digital Bank.
• Talent Alchemy: You are a "Leader of Leaders." Through sophisticated coaching and mentorship, cultivate a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, technical excellence, and professional growth.
• Operational Maturity: Refine engineering processes to increase innovation throughput. Identify and eliminate systemic bottlenecks, ensuring the organization maintains "Blitzscaling" speed without compromising stability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years managing multiple teams in a high-concurrency environment (e.g., 30M+ transactions/users).
• Proven experience building and scaling engineering organizations of 30-60+ people.
• Fluent in English, capable of translating complex architectural risks into business-level decisions for the Board of Directors.

Requirements

• Tech-native leader who has successfully navigated the complexities of large-scale distributed environments.
• Technical Governance: Authoritative knowledge of modern system design and distributed state management. Skilled at navigating the complexities of large-scale backend environments, ensuring that our Java/Go services and SQL layers are architected for maximum durability and sub-millisecond performance.
• System Design Mastery: Well-versed in the trade-offs of event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and the orchestration of complex asynchronous workflows in a regulated financial environment.
• Leadership Gravitas: Lead through empowerment and technical credibility, not through hierarchy.
