[Hiring] Engineering Manager @Pet Media Group

Role Description

We're growing our Monetisation team and looking for an Engineering Manager to lead it. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll grow and support a team of engineers, own delivery and technical direction for the Monetisation domain, and stay close enough to the code to make sound calls alongside your team.

The Monetisation team works on several key parts of the business:

• Build and maintain pricing, checkouts, and payment processing
• Manage recurring subscriptions and product activations
• Conduct experimentation/CRO
• Build and maintain an escrow system for safe transactions
• Handle KYC/KYB/identity verification, payment processing, and payouts

You'll be accountable for:

• The quality of what the team ships
• The growth of the team members
• Connecting daily engineering work to revenue outcomes

You'll partner closely with product and the wider engineering leadership to set priorities and clear blockers. We also want someone who treats AI as a core part of how a modern team works, encouraging engineers to use LLMs and AI tooling in their daily workflow.

Qualifications

• Experience managing and growing a team of software engineers
• A strong engineering background, ideally full-stack with TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, and React
• A track record of owning delivery for a team or domain
• Understanding of GraphQL and its usage in large systems
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
• Active use of AI tools in engineering work
• Working proficiency in English

Requirements

• Comfortable staying technical: reviewing designs, guiding architecture, and making trade-offs
• Experience in the payments or fintech space (Stripe, Adyen, Braintree) is a bonus
• Experience with monitoring & observability tools like Grafana is a bonus
• Experience with experimentation/CRO is a bonus
• Experience introducing or scaling AI coding workflows is a bonus
