[Hiring] Network Engineer @Rootshell Enterprise Technologies, Inc.

Role Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team. The role involves:

• Researching protocol RFC and related application implementation.
• Researching and providing defense mechanisms against popular protocol/firewall evasions.
• Researching common file types for file identification, blocking, DLP, etc.
• Developing protocol and file type decoders and integrating the detection solutions into the IPS engine of the Rootshell Technologies next generation firewall.
• Building common services to support various network security services.
• Developing internal tools to monitor and support the cyber security products.
• Experience with research of GenAI applications, such as Google Cloud Vertex, Azure OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock SDK is a plus.
• Familiarity with traffic analysis tools, such as browser dev tools, Fiddler, and Wireshark.
• Excellent understanding of common networking protocols such as HTTP, SSL, SMTP, FTP, Websocket, GRPC, etc.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix development environment.
• Strong programming and debugging skills; C/C++ or Go experience is preferred.
• Team player with good communication skills to work with cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• Experience in network security.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ or Go.
• Familiarity with traffic analysis tools.
• Understanding of networking protocols.
