[Hiring] Chief Technology Officer @Analogue Insight

Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Technology Officer (High-Speed Analog) to lead the technical vision of Analogue Insight as we grow from a fast-moving start-up into a scale-up. As CTO, you will own the technology strategy for our electrical and photonic interconnect portfolio and drive it across our customer programmes and product roadmap. You will lead the CTO Office, act as the company's senior technical voice with customers, partners, foundries and investors, and build deep links between Analogue Insight and leading universities and research institutes.

This role is ideal for a recognised leader in high-speed analog and mixed-signal design, with strong academic standing and strong ties to industry.

• Location: Fully remote, ideally based in the UK, Europe, Armenia, India, Canada or the US.
• Reporting to: CEO, as a member of the executive team.
• Hiring Manager: Christian Borelli, Founder, CEO & CPO.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuit design.
• 15+ years of combined industry and/or academic experience in high-speed analog design, including senior technical leadership roles.
• World-class expertise in at least one of: high-speed wireline transceivers (SerDes, die-to-die links), clocking and PLLs, or high-speed data converters.
• Strong understanding of advanced CMOS (FinFET and beyond), packaging and chiplet integration.
• Proven track record of taking complex designs from architecture to successful silicon.
• Strong academic and industry standing, evidenced by publications at leading venues, patents and invited talks.
• An established network across leading universities, research institutes and the semiconductor industry.
• Experience building and leading high-performing technical teams, ideally including distributed or remote teams.

Requirements

• Current or past professorship or senior research position at a leading university.
• Deep, hands-on expertise in one or more of the following circuit areas:
  • Fractional-N PLLs, LC-VCOs, DTC/TDC, multi-modulus dividers.
  • Phase interpolators, injection-locked oscillators, multi-phase clock generation.
  • High-speed time-interleaved DACs and line drivers.
  • TIAs, CTLEs, PGAs and other high-bandwidth amplifiers.
  • Time-interleaved SAR ADCs and track-and-hold circuits.
  • Bandgaps, LDOs, temperature sensors and other precision/support circuits.
  • Experience in photonic or optical interconnect.
  • Experience with circuit modelling, simulation automation, optimisation and silicon-to-model correlation.
  • Involvement in standards bodies or consortia.
  • Experience securing and leading funded research programmes and industry–academia collaborations.
  • Start-up or scale-up experience, including working with investors and boards.
