Role Description
The major function of this position is to design, develop, implement, and deliver training programs and technical support for Maui Jimβs US Sales Force, Retail Partners, and Marketing while ensuring consistency in delivery and format. Contribute technical knowledge to marketing campaigns and products.
Essential Duties

Research, design, develop, and deliver complete learning solutions in support of business objectives using a blended learning approach.

Partner with and work extensively with subject matter experts to develop and maintain training content.

Consult with the marketing team on technical product development and campaign strategies.

Support product launch activities from a technical marketing and training perspective.

Apply key instructional design methodologies to develop and maintain relevant and high-quality training programs.

Facilitate seminars, workshops, webinars, and other training sessions to address business and organizational needs.

Lead day-to-day activities of multiple assigned training initiatives, manage project plans, vendor management, resources, and budget allocation.

Plan, organize, and coordinate the national training schedule with Manager.

Facilitate and continuously update US Sales Force onboarding training program.

Answer client queries and provide technical product support.

Collaborate with the training team to assist with the coordination of relevant training creation and delivery.

Create courses for CE credit for industry publications.

Travel as requested throughout North America to facilitate in-person training events.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree required.
-
2+ years of optical industry experience required.
-
6+ years of training and development experience required.
-
ABO Certification required.
-
Ability to deliver ongoing optical and ABO continuing education (CE) training programs.

Demonstrated optical industry knowledge, including eyewear products, lens options, dispensing processes, and customer care practices.

Ability to work with and teach varying degrees of abilities and experience levels.

Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and creating effective instructional materials.

Ability to analyze and select the most appropriate strategy, methodologies, and technologies.

Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
