Role Description
As our next Training and Design Specialist, you will play an important role in helping CAEH strengthen communities, scale impact, and accelerate progress toward ending homelessness in Canada.

Translate CAEHβs Strategy and Model for Ending Homelessness to support content development and design.

Build curricula, tools, and LMS courses.
-
Conduct environmental scans and consultations to inform content.
-
Mobilize knowledge through CAEH's Community of Practice calls, newsletters, and Change Package resources.
-
Support the Training and Design Lead in developing content for CAEH's Learning Sessions and other training events.

Track training participation and revenue data to support CAEH's growing training service offering.
Qualifications

3-5 years of professional experience in content development, instructional design, communications, or knowledge mobilization.

Experience with project and change management, and person-centred design approaches.

Passion for ending homelessness and a belief it's possible.

Deep alignment with CAEH's mission and values.

Solid understanding of instructional design and training content development processes.

Strong project and change management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and editing skills.

Demonstrated ability to use computer systems and software including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, LMS and CRM platforms.

Ability to navigate change, risk, and uncertainty.

Strong organizational and project management capabilities.

The ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills.

A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous learning.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with a focus on adult education, instructional design, social work, social entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Requirements

Experience with local housing and homelessness systems, programs, or social services.

Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.

Experience working within a fee-for-service or social enterprise model.

Familiarity with continuous improvement or learning systems approaches.

Experience using Lean methodologies to create change and leverage impact.
-
Adult learning research experience is also an asset.

Knowledge of housing and homelessness, best practices, local systems design, by-name data, and coordinated access preferred.

Lived experience of homelessness, housing precarity, and/or marginality is welcomed and valued.

Experience working from a diversity, equity, inclusion, decolonizing, and anti-oppression framework is preferred.

French written and speaking skills are an asset.
