Role Description

The Teaching Assistant for the course "Foundations of Research in Political Science" will be responsible for various tasks including:

• Teaching assistance
• Facilitating discussion groups
• Marking papers and exams
• Holding office hours to meet with students

The student must meet deadlines set by the supervisor and attend lectures if requested.

Qualifications

• Priority will be given to candidates in accordance with articles 18.5 and 18.6 of the CUPE collective agreement.

Requirements

• Students must be available to travel to the University of Ottawa campus at the request of their supervisor and/or the School.
• All University of Ottawa employees are required to complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $33.83 for undergraduate students, $53.31 for graduate students (Sept. 2026 - Aug. 2027)
• These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.
