Role Description

As our State Subject Curriculum Lead, you will own the educational source of truth for your specific subject area across NSW and strategically direct everything built from it.

• Map: Build and maintain the curriculum source of truth for your subject, mapping out NESA syllabuses, recurring exam questions, and common student pitfalls.
• Pace: Translate curriculum insights into live topic sequencing, question-type maps, and school-specific workshops kept 1–2 weeks ahead of local classrooms.
• Support: Design the targeted materials and support systems students need to conquer internal assessments, optimize their school ranks, and ace the exams.
• Direct: Plan educational resources upstream from the source of truth, steering Resource Developers to oversee the production of roughly 100 workbooks annually.
• Govern: Act as the final quality gate to sign off on all subject materials with absolute polish, while continuously pushing curriculum innovation.

Qualifications

• 95+ ATAR and a Band 6 or E4 result in the respective NSW HSC subject.
• State ranks are ideal, but not compulsory.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience with a strong track record of student outcomes.
• Deep curriculum expertise and strong opinions on how the subject is sequenced, taught, and examined under NESA.
• Excellent documentation skills with a focus on building durable, written educational frameworks.
• Ability to brief, steer, and manage Resource Developers effectively without creating operational bottlenecks.
• Uncompromising attention to detail with an obsession for error-free work and polished formatting.
• High operational bandwidth to hit tight production deadlines and patch issues proactively.
• Comfort using modern software and AI tooling to accelerate documentation and drafting workflows (preferred).
