Role Description

The Thayer School of Education at Wingate University is seeking applicants to fill a part-time, adjunct teaching position in the area of Integrating Global Social Studies and the Humanities. This part-time position will be primarily asynchronous online with some live evening Zoom instruction.

• Prepare graduate students in teacher education programs to become effective practitioners and researchers in the field of education by teaching and modeling current evidence-based practices.
• Provide students with clear, timely, and specific communication and feedback.
• Hold regular, predictable virtual office hours.
• Alignment with University mission, vision, and strategic roadmap.
• Other job duties/responsibilities may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline (History/Social Studies).
• K-12 and college teaching experience.
• Experience with Canvas learning management system and content development tools such as Zoom, Snagit, Camtasia, and other e-learning tools is preferred.
