[Hiring] Principles of Personal Financial Planning and Advice - Online Facilitation @Linc Education Services Pte Ltd

Role Description

This is a remote position.

As an experienced online educator, the candidate will work as an independent contractor of LINC Education to offer online facilitation services for students studying in the Masters of Financial Planning offered by Victoria University Online.

Candidate must possess strong knowledge of financial and investment planning principles, with a sound understanding of the legal and ethical frameworks governing financial advice and investment decisions. They should be able to support students in:

• Assessing client risk profiles and financial goals
• Applying investment theories and strategies
• Constructing diversified portfolios
• Preparing limited-scope Statements of Advice using relevant financial planning tools

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or higher in Financial Planning
• 5 years' relevant teaching experience in an ASIC-approved course in financial planning and/or 5 years’ experience working as a Financial Planning Professional
• Registered Financial Planning Advisor Certification is mandatory
• Empathetic, ambitious, warm and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse cultures
• Proficient in English language; excellent oral and written communication
• Must possess a working laptop and have access to high-speed (>10 MBPS) stable internet connection
• Ability to quickly learn and use technology platforms for interacting with students, including the host university’s LMS and LINCtrac (training on these platforms will be provided)
• Availability between 5 pm to 10 pm every day

Requirements

• Subject matter guidance to a group of 25-30 undergraduate online students
• Support in learning skills like academic writing, research and time management
• Conduct 1:1 sessions for doubt-resolution, academic guidance and assessment draft reviews
• Guidance on relevant reference material
• Assessment marking with long-form feedback
• Management of discussion forums
• Proactive, prompt and personalised support to student queries and issues
• Prompt interaction with students over email, or calls/online sessions from locations of their convenience (e.g. home, office etc.)
