Role Description

Adjuncts are essential to Liberty University’s mission of Training Champions for Christ. It is expected that an adjunct member models a personal commitment to the goals and values of Liberty University, engages in an active commitment to, and experience of, personal spiritual formation within a biblically informed Christian worldview. Adjuncts should view their teaching, engagement with students, and scholarship as a means to a significant educational end.

• Provide for individual differences, abilities, and interests as much as possible.

The dissertation chair plays a pivotal role in guiding the candidate through the research process. As the primary advisor of the dissertation process, the chair is responsible for:

• Providing expert guidance.
• Ensuring the research process aligns with academic standards.
• Overseeing the candidate's progress from proposal development to final defense.
• Reviewing completed chapters and offering constructive feedback.
• Helping the candidate refine the research.
• Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the research process meet academic rigor.

• Courses are typically paid at $800 per load hour.
