Role Description
Within the framework of its Women’s Leadership in Decision-making portfolio, UN Women is implementing the “Women’s Increased Leadership for Democracy in Georgia” (WILD) project. The project aims to promote women’s leadership and advance gender equality as key drivers for democracy and inclusive development in Georgia.
UN Women seeks to hire a national consultant in women’s political participation/trainer who will take the lead in developing and delivering a module focused on barriers to women’s political participation and strategies to promote meaningful leadership in decision-making. The selected expert will be responsible for:

Holding an initial alignment meeting with UN Women to confirm objectives, timeline, deliverables, stakeholder map, and communication protocols.

Developing and submitting Module 2 deliverables, including:

Syllabus
-
Session-level lesson plans and facilitator scripts
-
Participant materials (pre-read, slide deck, worksheets)
-
Annotated source list localized to Georgia context
-
Incorporating UN Women feedback and finalizing training materials.
-
Coordinating with other trainers to synchronize content and create a seamless learning experience.
-
Conducting a one-day workshop/seminar aligned with the approved module.
-
Compiling and submitting post-session outputs, including:

One-page executive summary
-
Full facilitator notes with captured commitments
-
Anonymized evaluation summary
Deliverables

Provide an editable trainer’s package for UN Women Leadership Academy training covering topics of women’s political participation and inclusion in decision making.

Required Qualifications

Education and Certification:
-
Master's degree or equivalent in Political Science, Public Policy, Gender Studies, International Development, or a related field.

A first-level university degree, in combination with at least two additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:
-
At least five years (seven years in case of bachelor’s degree) of professional experience in delivering adult learning/training and capacity-building programs on women’s political participation, leadership, or inclusion to diverse participant groups.

At least five years (seven years in case of bachelor’s degree) of experience in designing gender-responsive training materials and assessments that incorporate adult learning principles and participatory methods.

Experience in coordination, communication, and reporting is an asset.

Experience working with UN agencies and/or international organizations is an asset.

Languages:

Fluency in English is required.
