Role Description

The Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist I supports the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs that enhance employee performance and operational effectiveness. This role applies established learning strategies, contributes to program development, and partners with leadership to support workforce capability. The L&D Specialist I exercises independent judgment within defined frameworks and contributes to training solutions aligned with organizational needs.

Remote position is located in Georgia. Must reside in Georgia.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the design and development of training programs, materials, and learning tools.
• Support creation of:
  • Instructor-led training
  • E-learning modules
  • Job aids and reference materials
• Help maintain standardized training content across locations.
• Facilitate training sessions (virtual and in-person) for employees and teams.
• Deliver onboarding, compliance, and role-based training.
• Adapt delivery methods to meet diverse learning styles.
• Partner with managers and team leaders to support training needs.
• Provide coaching and guidance to reinforce learning applications.
• Support onboarding and new hire readiness initiatives.
• Collect training feedback and participation data.
• Recommend incremental improvements to training content and delivery.
• Support evaluation of training effectiveness.
• Ensure training content aligns with organizational policies and standards.
• Support updates to training materials based on regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of training, coaching, or related experience.
• Experience supporting program development and delivery.

Requirements

• Ability to deliver engaging, structured training sessions (virtual and in-person) and adapt to diverse learning styles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey learning concepts and instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and deliverables with accuracy and timeliness.
• Foundational ability to develop and update training materials, including e-learning tools, job aids, and guides.
• Ability to build effective working relationships and partner with managers and team members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with virtual training platforms and instructional tools.
• Working knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies.
• Ability to gather feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and support enhancements.
• Ability to work independently within defined guidelines, maintain accurate documentation, and support successful program execution.
