You are a digital savvy content and curriculum expert, responsible and accountable for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements for the Dual Literacy programs.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems and design conceptual solutions for multiple components; participate in collaboration workshops, remove barriers across delivery teams, and advise leadership on workflow improvements.

  • Train and mentor instructional designers and new team members by modeling best practices in digital tools, content authoring, and workflows.
  • Champion accessibility standards with strong contributions, ensuring quality and compliance expectations are met throughout the product development process.
  • Contribute in cross-functional discussions, program planning, and curriculum mapping within an Agile framework to ensure that product requirements, project schedules, and product goals are met and completed on time.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor and freelancer teams, providing oversight and training; manage digital launches by developing guidelines, launching work, and ensuring all deliverables expectations are met.
  • Participate as a key contributor in the development of implementation models and journey maps; lead the development of course maps; create POC’s and hi-fidelity prototypes by applying design principles and backward design to complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Support user testing by interpreting results and making strategic recommendations, serving under the leadership of management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to identify, test, troubleshoot, and follow up on technical issues in authoring tools and the platform; define and document requirements for platform and authoring tool enhancements.
  • Identify, pilot, and scale novel digital solutions for issues that arise during development.
  • Proactively identify risks and challenges across multiple workstreams; develop contingency plans and negotiate trade-offs among competing priorities, communicating proposed solutions to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or related field required.
  • Experience working with Spanish-language materials; prior experience as a Spanish, ESL, SLA, or dual-language teacher is a plus. A successful candidate may have previous K-5 teaching experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience working in digital content development that includes teaching and learning materials.
  • Experience managing multiple projects within tight deliverables and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence trade-off decisions across scope, quality, time, and resources.
  • Experience designing digital platforms and creating learning experiences with authoring tools, learning management systems, and content management systems.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on practical, effective problem-solving.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI, and their application to instructional design and content development.
