Role Description

Training Qualifications UK is looking for Assessment Writers with Functional Skills experience to create high-quality assessment materials for our Level 1/Level 2 and entry level qualifications. The role is remote and can be done alongside other professional commitments. You will be expected to attend a number of meetings which will be attended remotely via Microsoft Teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality exam papers that are valid, fair, reliable, and robust assessment and adhere to the specification and regulatory requirements.
• Produce clear and accurate mark schemes which support reliable marking.
• Create appropriate, accessible source documents that are engaging, relevant, and suitable for the target level.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and/or experience with Functional Skills English and Entry Level English.
• A degree in English or related field.
• Experienced teachers with excellent subject knowledge in English.
• Knowledge of writing assessments/questions and experience of writing examination papers and the associated mark schemes.
• Ability to write to a brief.
• Good IT skills and a willingness to embrace new systems, as much of the associated work is computer based.
• An openness to receiving constructive feedback and the ability to incorporate that feedback appropriately to make amendments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisation and leadership skills.
• The ability to meet deadlines and deliver work to a strict schedule.
• Excellent attention to detail.
